There Are People You Have Never Met Who Love You
An experimentation with photochemistry and an exploration of vulnerability, memory, and loss…
There Are People You Have Never Met Who Love You was created in complete darkness, where an eyedropper tool was used to caress chemistry onto the emulsion of an exposed sheet of 4x5 film. Because only certain areas of the film are conventionally developed, the remaining latent image is lost forever upon exposure to light, leaving a mere suggestion of presence throughout.
The negatives are displayed with their corresponding positives printed onto transparency paper.
